What's the difference between a food processor and a smoothy maker/blender?
I'm just starting to wean my son onto solids and would like to make my own baby food.
What do I need to buy? a food prcessor or blender? whats the difference?
I dont have much money and blenders look cheaper especially those small hand held ones but can they blend carrots or potatoes if they were put in whole?
Thanks
i have both and the food processor is WAY better!! a blender is a pain you have to make sure not to put to much in it or it won't blend it all, etc.
a food processor does way more than a blender (depending on the type you get) can chop, puree, slice, make dough, etc. ) so you can make baby food smooth (puree) and make it chunky later if you want. a blender only blends and that's it. you can even put raw things in a food processor, you can even chop meat in it.
my food processor is awesome, i use it all the time for everything (regular cooking). of course i got a really good one but i have no regrets, i use it a ton!
good luck
