is there a difference between a crockpot and crockpot slow cooker?

They both use a low temp heating coil in the base of the pot and vary in size but do the same things. Manufactures add the bells and whistles, buttons and things to make the product more user friendly but in the end both slow cookers and crock pots are the same things, different names.
