Will i ruin my spark plug wire by dipping it in boiler water to loosen the boot a little?
I have a set of make Your Own performance spark plug wires. I installed the boots over the wire as instructed but the boot seems to be too small for the 8mm wires. If i were to dip the top of the wire and the boot in boiler water to loosen up the rubber a bit so i can push it all the way down. Will it ruin my wire, I dont see why it would, but wanted to be sure before i ruin these expensive wires.
Thanks, hopefully someone is awake.
some sort of lubrication would be better I.E WD 40 or dish soap...or all purpose oil
